Fall Gala Dinner Event

This year's fall gala dinner event will be unlike those of the past.  We start with the Exhibit Hall and a Poster Session.  Next we have several dynamic speakers, to be announced shortly, you will not want to miss.  Then, since reserved seating plated dinners tend to inhibit networking and collaboration, this year we have unreserved tables with food stations and passed foods.  It is hoped attendees will move from table to table, rekindling old relationships and making new ones.  Networking sponsors do have the option to have a reserved table.  Finally, we present the awards in a fast-paced format.  The schedule, subject to change, is:

  • 4:00-5:30PMExhibit Hall opens & Poster Displays (snacks & refreshments)
  • 5:30-6:30PMSpeaker Session
  • 6:30-8:30PMNetworking Dinner
  • 7:15-7:45PM  Awards

The elegant Camelback Inn Resort is set on 125 acres of plush desert landscape, giving guests a truly authentic Southwestern experience.  Surrounded by the distinguished Camelback and Mummy mountains, visitors can simply luxuriate in the magnificent setting.  Camelback in is offering the following special rate for a limited number of BioFest 2010 attendees:

  • Single/double room rate of $199 plus tax for the night of October 27.

    Poster Presentations

This year we will have a Poster session.  Just about anyone can participate: individuals, research and educational institutions, and even for profit businesses (except they must have been formed after January 1, 2007).  Posters should describe ongoing research or technologies currently being employed; they should not merely describe an organization or business.  Posters will be exhibited on standard easels so they must be of an appropriate size and be self-supporting.  Poster presenters must commit to hosting their posters from 4:00PM - 5:30PM on October 27.  Posters will remain on display throughout the entire event, from 4:00PM - 8:30PM.  There is no fee to submit and present a poster, but presenters must register for the event, paying the standard registration fee.  For a Poster Application Form please click here.
