Senior Manager, State Government Affairs
Barbara Lussenhop was elected to the AZBio Board of Directors in January of 2013. She currently works in State Government Affairs for Genentech and for the last ten years she has worked in this capacity to influence legislative, regulatory and executive decisions that support the needs of patients, other customers and the general business goals of her company. She lives in Fort Collins, CO and covers a six state region, including AZ, in the Southwest. Barb started off teaching in a private setting before joining the pharmaceutical industry in 1986. She has worked with several companies including; Glaxo Wellcome, Agouron Pharmaceuticals and Roche.
Barbara has demonstrated skills in multiple areas during her diverse career within the industry. She has experience in the following areas; advocacy relations, managed care, corrections, corporate marketing & training, working with state agencies, new product development and sales.
Barbara believes that collaboration is the key to successful outcomes and she has worked diligently in many areas building effective coalitions. She is currently Co-Chair of AZBio’s Government Affairs Committee.
