 tion: Conquering the Inflammation Epidemic on the Path to Health and Resil
 ience\,’ a free lecture open to the public\, will be presented Wednesday
 \, April 3\, 6-7:15 p.m.\, at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson\
 , DuVal Auditorium\, 1501 N. Campbell Ave.\, Tucson. The 75-minute talk wi
 ll include time for questions and answers.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIn this exclusive
  presentation\, internationally renowned scientist and author Floyd H. Chi
 lton\, PhD\, will expose the driving force behind a host of seemingly disp
 arate diseases\, such as arthritis\, heart disease\, cancer\, obesity\, di
 abetes\, eczema\, lupus\, Alzheimer's and emphysema: unbridled inflammatio
 n.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nBacked by more than 30 years of research and hundreds of 
 clinical studies in his\, and many others’\, labs\, Dr. Chilton's anti-i
 nflammatory recommendations have driven change throughout the United State
 s and abroad. His individualized and population-based research approaches 
 provide solutions to overcome physical and emotional suffering so that peo
 ple can live better\, more joyful and resilient lives. Offering a scientif
 ically proven approach with a focus on both the mental and physical aspect
 s of health and wellness\, he will share the proof behind these approaches
  that are within the reach of individuals.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nDr. Chilton also 
 will delve into his research behind his book\, ”The ReWired Brain\,” w

 rthritis Center at the UA College of Medicine – Tucson and supported thr
 ough the Susan and Saul Tobin Endowment for Research and Education in Rheu
 matology.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAbout Dr. Chilton\n\nFloyd “Ski” Chilton\, PhD
 \, is a professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences\, UA College o
 f Agriculture and Life Sciences\; associate director of the UA BIO5 Instit
 ute\; and director of the Precision Wellness Initiative at the University 
 of Arizona. Dr. Chilton is passionate about providing solutions to overcom
 e physical and emotional suffering. He is a successful innovator in a wide
  range of areas\, is an academic professor with more than 140 scientific p
 ublications\, and an entrepreneur and inventor holding more than 25 patent
 s. He has more than 30 years of continuous funding from the National Insti
 tutes of Health.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nDr. Chilton’s work examines how genetic a
 nd epigenetic variations interact with human diets to drive inflammation a
 nd inflammatory disorders\, as well as psychiatric and developmental disor
 ders. These precision-\, individualized- and population-based research app
 roaches provide a wide range of opportunities to benefit the public.\n\n&n
 bsp\;\n\nIn addition to his research\, Dr. Chilton has touched hundreds of
  thousands of lives as an author of five lay books focused on nutrition\, 
 diet and physical and mental health. These books include “Inflammation N
 ation” (Simon and Schuster)\, “Win the War Within” (Rodale)\, “The
  Gene Smart Diet” (Rodale) and “Made to Crave Action Plan” (Zonderva
 n). His most recent book\, “The ReWired Brain\,” addresses the issue o
 f the unconscious mind\, its capacity to negatively impact our lives\, and
  how thought patterns induce genetic changes that alter brain circuitry.\n
