 \n\nHigh school interns in the KEYS summer program will present their rese
 arch and recieve recognition for their work.\nKeep Engaging Youth in Scien
 ce\nOne of the core tenets of BIO5’s mission is the commitment to educat
 e our next generation of scientists.\n\nThe Keep Engaging Youth in Science
  (KEYS) program offers summer research internships to top performing high 
 school students who have a strong interest in pursuing advanced education 
 and training in the bioscience or biomedical fields.\n\nWith support from 
 many UA partners and program sponsors\, the BIO5 Institute and the College
  of Pharmacy's Southwest Environmental Health Sciences Center (SWEHSC) lea
 d the KEYS program.\n\nKEYS interns enroll with no tuition fees in the Uni
 versity of Arizona during their summer break for a week of intensive labor
 atory and science literacy training\, followed by six weeks in the laborat
 ory of a renowned UA researcher. The program concludes with the KEYS Resea
 rch Showcase\, where students present their work to their families\, UA sc
 ientists\, community leaders\, and program sponsors.\n\nMany KEYS alumni h
 ave reported that the experience changed their lives and taught them that 
 they are capable of making important contributions to science.\n\nContact&
