Very lit tle was known about this rare form of blood cancer and there were very few options for treatment. When he retired from his job\, they moved to Arizo na so that he could receive the specialized treatment that was available a t Mayo Clinic’s myeloma/blood cancer department. Barbara was asked to he lp the Director of this department\, Dr. Rafael Fonseca\, and Jeff Trent\, CEO of TGen\, a prominent Research organization put on a Myeloma Symposiu m. It was so popular\, that they continued to hold Annual Living with Myel oma Conferences and Research Roundtables until 2020 when the COVID Pandemi c Lockdown occurred.\n\nGuest Faculty: Joanna Morales\, co-founded Triage Cancer in 2012\, in Chicago. She is one of the only cancer rights attorney s in the country.
