 OVID-19 pandemic has exposed the frailties of the U.S. healthcare system\,
  while spurring unprecedented innovation and collaboration as healthcare d
 elivery shifted to televisits\, traditional competitors shared information
  and resources\, and businesses large and small stepped up to produce crit
 ical supplies.&nbsp\;\n\nThe lessons from the pandemic are laying the foun
 dation for healthcare institutions to ensure their ongoing ability to serv
 e the needs of patients and communities\, in times of both normalcy and cr
 isis.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; The supporting strategic pillars of a resilient health
  system are its infrastructure\, workforce\, and supply chain/logistics.&n
 bsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\nThe 2021 McKenna Lecture features Denis Cortese\, M
 .D.\, Emeritus President and CEO\, Mayo Clinic and Director of the Center 
 for Healthcare Delivery &amp\; Policy at ASU.&nbsp\; Dr. Cortese will shar
 e the results of work he is leading as President of the Healthcare Transfo
 rmation Institute with eight competing health systems in the Phoenix area.
  Multidisciplinary leaders from each of the health systems identified the 
 strategic pillars and are collaborating to develop the critical capabiliti
