ASU undergraduate degree applicants are encouraged to submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) every year. Submitting the FAFSA is free and easy. It’s how you find out if you're eligible for grants, scholarships, federal loans, and other aid that can help with your education costs.

Federal grant money is automatically applied to the cost of tuition first and does not need to be paid back. You may have additional options to cover the cost of books, fees, and supplies, like scholarships or low-interest loans (if you choose to apply and qualify).

Your ASU enrollment coach can answer any other questions about financial aid.

If you are a recipient of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), you are not eligible for federal student aid and are not required to submit the FAFSA. A school advisor can help you find out if you’re eligible for state, school, or private aid.

This ASU Scholarship Program offers eligible member company employees a 15% tuition scholarship for eligible online programs at Arizona State University. Member company employees can use this scholarship on base tuition for over 400 flexible online programs. Participating employees will not be asked to pay this amount back.

Your scholarship is applied to your account automatically, but you are responsible for confirming that it appears on your tuition bill. You can visit the Finance section of My ASU to review your bill. For more help, chat with us  or contact ASU’s financial aid office.

Your scholarship covers 15% of base tuition for eligible online programs. You will not be asked to pay this amount back. You are responsible for your remaining tuition balance. You are also responsible for application fees and any additional expenses like books or supplies.

Tuition scholarships are not reported as taxable income on your Form W-2.

Ask your ASU advisor about Earned Admission. This alternative enrollment option allows you to take college courses and show that you are ready for a degree program. Earned Admission is not eligible for your tuition scholarship.

To find out if this option is right for you, select Get Started on a program page and submit your regular ASU application. If you’re not accepted into the program you chose, your ASU enrollment coach can give you more information about Earned Admission.

Your employer will only receive your enrollment status, the name of the program you are enrolled in, and financial information about your scholarship. Your academic performance will not be shared with them.

If you are enrolled in an in-network online program, complete this form to opt in and accept the ASU Scholarship Program terms and conditions.

If you are taking an out-of-network program, you will need to transfer to an eligible online option to use your ASU Scholarship Program benefit. Your ASU advisor can help you with this process.

Each program decides which transfer credits they accept. Talk to your ASU enrollment coach to find out how your credits will transfer.

You can select Get Started to request information about as many degree programs as you like. However, you can only enroll in one program at a time. After you enroll in a program or course, you will need to complete it before you can start another.
