Acquisition puts a dementia expert in every caregiver’s pocket to help reduce high-risk behavioral incidents and reliance on psychotropic medications.
CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ALIS, the leading senior living clinical and operational software platform, announced its first acquisition of the Ella and elbi technology platforms from TapRoot Interventions & Solutions. These technologies are aimed at providing AI-native, real time and personalized guidance to care staff navigating complex, day-to-day care interactions with residents with dementia and behavioral needs.
The acquisition was announced by John Shafaee, Founder and CEO of ALIS, at ALIS FWD, the company’s 2nd Annual User Conference, and marks a significant milestone for the company.
This strategic acquisition expands the ALIS platform with specialized dementia and behavioral care expertise designed to prepare and support frontline caregivers with personalized interventions, while advancing the company’s broader investment in purpose-built technology for senior living.
Ella® and elbi® help manage behaviors with non-pharmacological, person-centered approaches by providing direct care staff point-of-care suggestions that help prevent or resolve challenging behavioral reactions and ease caregiver stress. The Ella and elbi technology platforms collect and analyze behavioral information at the point of care, assist operators in implementing best practice population health management principles, and give them an evidence-based approach to measure and report outcomes.
