Harish Ankaraju is a Managing Director in EY’s Tax practice with more than 21 years of experience in corporate taxation, financial reporting, and advisory services for U.S. and multinational companies. He advises both public and private enterprises across a broad range of industries, including biosciences, SaaS, semiconductors, manufacturing, telecommunications, and renewable energy, helping organizations navigate complex tax and financial reporting matters while supporting sustainable growth and compliance.

Corporate Tax & Financial Reporting Expertise

Harish’s practice is centered on ASC 740 income tax accounting, where he has deep experience supporting audits, preparing and reviewing income tax provisions, and advising companies on complex tax positions and uncertain tax matters. He routinely works with audit committees, finance leadership, and external auditors to address tax accounting judgments, valuation allowances, and effective tax rate drivers.

In addition, Harish leads and advises on:

U.S. federal and state corporate tax compliance and planning
Multinational tax structures, including cross‑border operations and intercompany matters
Transfer pricing and intercompany transactions
Mergers and acquisitions, including tax structuring, due diligence, and post‑transaction integration
Tax risk management and governance, particularly for growing and IPO‑ready companies

Global Delivery & Talent Development Leadership

Harish has played a significant role in building and coaching global tax delivery teams, including secondments and leadership roles supporting EY’s Global Delivery Services (GDS). His work has included developing India‑based teams responsible for consolidated U.S. GAAP tax provisions for large multinational clients, as well as designing tools and processes to enhance quality, scalability, and consistency.

He is also a frequent contributor to EY technical training, delivering U.S. tax and ASC 740 instruction to experienced professionals and managers, with a strong focus on technical excellence, practical application, and professional development.

Board & Industry Engagement

Harish currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Arizona BioIndustry Association (AZBio), where he contributes his corporate tax, financial reporting, and governance expertise to support Arizona’s growing bioscience ecosystem.
