Partnering to Make an Impact
Through the course of research, Dr. Sairam Parthasarathy and an experienced team invented a new respiratory-assist device (RAD) that provides fast, safe relief to those who experience difficulty breathing.
Manny Teran and Don Finkle, Tucson entrepreneurs, were looking for their next entrepreneurial opportunity.
Tech Launch Arizona brought them all together, provided funding, coaching, connections, and expertise to develop the invention and launch a startup.
“One of the really exciting things about this is that the business people stepping up to help with this project are all from outside the University of Arizona. They’re community members who are jumping in to work with faculty inventors. That’s fantastic.”
– Kaitlyn Norman-Powers, Licensing Manager, University of Arizona Health Sciences
Join Dr. Parthasarathy, Manny Teran, and SaiOx President and COO Don Finkle as they discuss their partnership. UA Health Sciences Licensing Manager Kaitlyn Norman-Powers, Ph.D. will facilitate the conversation.
