Governor Hobbs Announces Arizona Tech Week 2026

State’s first-ever decentralized tech conference to showcase Arizona’s technology leadership and bring together top innovators, founders, and investors

PHOENIX, AZ (August 5, 2025) — With billions in new investment, a surge of startups and venture activity, and a deep pool of skilled talent, Arizona’s innovation economy is scaling fast — and the world is taking notice.

Today, Governor Hobbs and the Arizona Commerce Authority, in partnership with the Arizona Venture Alliance, announced Arizona Tech Week, the state’s first-ever decentralized tech conference. The event will take place in locations across the state from April 6th-12th, 2026.

“Global tech leaders are investing in Arizona because they see what we see: Arizona is the future of tech,” said Governor Katie Hobbs. “We’ve built the foundation: world-class talent, unrivaled community, and a business climate leading the nation. We will continue to cultivate a tech ecosystem where opportunity and innovation flourish.”

Arizona Tech Week will bring together tech luminaries, investors, founders, and startup leaders for a week of lively keynotes, panels, social networking engagements, pitch competitions, and exclusive Arizona experiences. The first-of-its-kind conference in Arizona will emphasize the state’s prominent role in the global tech ecosystem and provide an opportunity to showcase the state’s most compelling innovations and tech leaders.

“From next-gen technologies like AI and automated vehicles to North America’s most advanced microchip factories, Arizona isn’t just keeping pace with the future — we’re shaping it,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “Fueled by strategic partnerships and historic investments, Arizona is building a legacy as one of the fastest growing and most connected tech hubs in the world.”

Since 2010, Arizona has seen the number of VC deals grow 150% and the amount of VC investment grow more than 330% — both well above the U.S. average.

Arizona Tech Week is estimated to attract 25,000 participants, including 5,000 investors, 10,000 startups, and 10,000 influencers. Throughout the week, attendees will be transported to various corners of the state, offering a firsthand look at the groundbreaking innovations and thriving industries putting Arizona on the map.

Arizona Tech Week leverages a distributed event model, empowering the tech community to host affiliated events through a simple, host-managed approval process. As the Arizona’s Tech Week’s presenting host, the ACA will collect, review, and approve event submissions via a form on the Arizona Tech Week website. The ACA will leverage a third-party software to offer event hosts a standardized RSVP management system, free of charge. The tool enables event hosts to track, manage, and communicate with event attendees.

The event is being organized in partnership with the Arizona Venture Alliance, a leading coalition of more than three dozen investors, startups, and tech ecosystem leaders advancing opportunities for Arizona-based startups and entrepreneurs.

Once Arizona Tech Week events are released, attendees will be able to view and sort events based on topic of interest, date, and location. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend many events by visiting the ACA’s Arizona Tech Week website.
