Last  week at BIO Digital, our global biotech community demonstrated that Nothing Stops Innovation.

Speakers like Dr. Anthony Fauci explained that we will likely see more than one “winner” from the more than 140 vaccine candidates to fight COVID-19. With an education program that was heavily focused on the virus, we learned about the unprecedented response to the pandemic resulting in more than 500 diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines in development from around the globe.

Throughout the week we never lost sight of how our breakthroughs in gene therapy, battles to defeat chronic diseases, advances in personalized medicine, and efforts to mitigate infectious diseases are all for one overriding purpose—to help improve the lives of patients.

BIO Digital  brought together investors and innovators, small biotechs and big pharma, and key players from across the value chain to collaborate and help each other meet their business objectives.

As an industry,  we recognized that we must strive to deliver medical solutions that can restore a sense of security to our neighborhoods. Our Leading Through Crisis panel on Thursday was a frank conversation about the impact of race on biotechnology and what can we do to improve diversity, address healthcare disparities and expand patient access.

Much of the rich content that emerged this week is now publicly available on-demand through on  “Best of BIO” which you can access  at bio.org/bestofbio.
