Medical Hackers Beware – These Docs Are On The Case

College of Medicine – Phoenix Featured on ABC News Nightline Special   – National news segment showcases alumni Christian Dameff, MD, Jeff Tully, MD, and the state-of-the-art Center for Simulation and Innovation.


 

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix was highlighted in a nine-minute feature segment on ABC World News Nightline, showcasing the CyberMed Summit held on June 8-9 at the College. The conference was a first-of-its-kind event, designed to bring together the world’s pre-eminent clinicians, security researchers, health care administrators, medical device manufacturers and policymakers to address the emerging challenges of medical device cybersecurity.

Nightline News anchor Dan Harris spent the a day at the UA interviewing security experts from the Atlantic Council and FDA, along with event organizers Christian Dameff, MD (pictured at center), and Jeff Tully, MD (pictured at left). Drs. Dameff and Tully graduated from the College in 2014 and wanted to hold the conference at the UA to utilize the sophisticated Center for Simulation and Innovation.
