Our industry sector generated over $43.64 billion in Economic Impact in 2023.

That's up over 88% from 2016 and growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 9.5%.

Arizona’s bioscience industry (not including our hospitals) employed 40,399 in 2023 across 3,652 state business establishments, representing a rapid 24.6 percent increase in employment since 2019 and placing the state among the leaders in employment growth. Senate Passes SBIR Reauthorization

On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, the Senate Unanimously Passed the Senate Bill 3971, the  Small Business Innovation and Economic Security Act, that would extend the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs through Sept. 30, 2031.  The measure now moves to the U.S. House of Representatives for final approval.
