360 Vantage®, a leader in cloud-based sales and marketing technology solutions, announced today that its CEO, Mario Martinez II, has been named to the 2012 PharmaVOICE 100, an annual list published each year by PharmaVOICE Magazine that recognizes the 100 most inspiring people in the Life Sciences industry.

From his early career, Martinez was inspired to become an innovative leader where he could make a difference. His quick learning style and creative approach to solving complex problems quickly parlayed into a technology career supporting sales and sales operations teams. In 2006 at age 30, Martinez founded 360 Vantage. In only a few short years, he had a host of leading Life Sciences clients, a growing team of high-performance employees and a healthy profit margin that most CEO’s would envy.

“Mario Martinez is one of the most driven leaders I know. When he wants something, he is determined to make it happen,” said Vishal Dass, head of sales at 360 Vantage. “He moves fast, but is always conscious and thoughtful in identifying the best path for mentoring people individually along the way. He PharmaVOICE 100has clearly demonstrated this drive in the ongoing success of 360 Vantage, the impact he makes to our employees’ and clients’ lives, and in the contributions to the communities where we live and work.”

After starting his IT career in a supporting role at CorNet International where he was introduced to the Life Sciences industry, Martinez moved up the ranks to hold a number sales technology management positions at Eisai and Medicis. During this time at both companies, he saw first-hand what it took to drive teams to continually improve performance.

As he continues building a company grounded in the core principles he had come to embrace, Martinez felt a calling to share in his early success and give back to his community. Today, he and his team generously donate their time and resources to ICAN of Chandler, Arizona, a non-profit organization focused on helping at-risk youth and their families.

Martinez’s commitment to the industry reaches both locally and globally. In March 2012, he was appointed to the AZBio Board of Directors, where he will help guide strategic direction of the non-profit and advance their goal to promote the growth of Arizona’s Bioscience Industry. Martinez was also recently nominated to the Arizona Technology Council Board where he will help guide the organization in their support of local technology companies and their contributions to the advancement and health of the Arizona economy.

Honorees were selected by PharmaVOICE editors based on thousands of nominations received from the publication’s readers, and judged on their ability to motivate and influence research and development, technology, creativity and strategy – positively impacting the Life Sciences industry through their actions. Winners are published in the July/August issue of PharmaVOICE.
