Biodesign C building designated Best of the Best Project nationwide

Arizona State University’s Biodesign C building was recently awarded as the national Best of the Best Project in the Higher Education/Research category by ENR (Engineering News Record), a publication focusing on engineering and construction news. Approximately 200 projects were considered for the honor, spanning 10 regions across America.

CMS Approves AHCCCS Waiver Request to Add Community Engagement Requirement and Change Retroactive Coverage

PHOENIX, AZ—January 18, 2018 – The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) received 1115 Waiver Amendment approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to implement community engagement requirements for some able bodied AHCCCS members ages 19 to 49, and to limit retroactive coverage for some applicants to the beginning of the month in which the Medicaid application is filed.

Banner-ASU Neuroscience Scholars is a paid, eight-week training program open to top-achieving college undergraduate and graduate science students. Scholars work full-time on a research project under the mentorship of a Banner Research or ASU-Biodesign scientist to unlock medical and scientific mysteries in the areas of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases, in a lab setting in the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area.
