Join with over 150 organizations to support the Rally for Medical Research, an event that will bring together thousands of advocates, survivors, clinicians, researchers, and other stakeholders to call on our nation’s policymakers to make life-saving medical research funding a national priority.
The Rally for Medical Research will take place on Monday, April 8 from 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM in Washington, DC on the steps of the Carnegie Library. The program will feature stories from patients and survivors, as well as key federal leaders, including National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D. and Representatives Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD).
The purpose of the Rally is to raise awareness about the critical need for a sustained investment in the National Institutes of Health to improve our nation’s health and spur medical progress.
Additional information, including a list of the growing number of partnering organizations, is available at http://rallyformedicalresearch.org.
For those who cannot be in Washington, DC on April 8, but are interested in following the day’s events or sharing information with your networks, the Rally will be streamed live over YouTube (available here).
